Emerging Professionals Event

Description

An Emerging Professional is anyone with 10 years or less in the commercial real estate industry employed by a BOMA member in good standing.   The Emerging Professional group exists to prepare the next gen of commercial real estate industry by providing opportunities to grow and leverage an industry network, increase industry knowledge, and provide opportunities for leadership development to promote career growth. This group is led by a small committee of leaders appointed by the Board of Directors.

About the Event

Building Connections is an interactive networking experience designed to help BOMA Emerging Professionals build meaningful relationships across Detroit's commercial real estate community. Rather than traditional networking, attendees will engage in a collaborative challenge that encourages intentional conversations, new introductions, and stronger connections throughout the evening.

How It Works

1. Check In

• At registration, you'll receive someone else's name badge along with a networking bingo card.
• Your mission is to find the person whose name you're holding by introducing yourself to other attendees and learning about their role in the industry.

2. Make Meaningful Connections

• As you search for your match, complete the prompts on your bingo card by meeting professionals from different sectors of commercial real estate, learning about their experiences, and expanding your network.

3. Complete Your Card

• Each conversation helps you work toward completing your bingo card. The activities are designed to encourage interactions beyond your existing network and introduce you to people you may not have otherwise met.

4. Celebrate New Connections

• Once you've found your name badge and completed your networking challenges, submit your bingo card for a chance to win prizes while enjoying the remainder of the event with your new connections.
